Yesterday marked the last day of January, the cancer awareness month but not the end of Zimbabwe Health Interventions (ZHI)’ s efforts to end Cervical Cancer in Zimbabwe. Cervical cancer is the second most common cancer in females after breast cancer and documented as the leading cause of mortality amongst women in Zimbabwe, with women living with HIV (WLHIV) at a greater risk of rapid disease advancement. The ZHI PEPFAR/ USAID funded Accelerated and Comprehensive HIV Care for Epidemic Control (ACCE)continues to strengthen the integration of HIV and cervical cancer screening and treatment across five Manicaland (Buhera, Chipinge, Makoni, Mutare and Mutasa) and four Midlands districts (Gweru, Gokwe South, Kwekwe, Mberengwa). We can end Cervical Cancer! Get informed, get screened and get vaccinated at your nearest health facility!
