About

Zimbabwe Health Interventions (ZHI) is a not for profit human development organisation which is registered as a Trust under the Zimbabwe Deeds Registries Act (Chapter 20:05). ZHI’s mission is to develop and deliver innovative and sustainable high impact integrated health interventions with local communities while working with and strengthening existing institutions.

The Accelerated and Comprehensive HIV Care for Epidemic Control in Zimbabwe (ACCE) project's objective is to complement the government of Zimbabwe (GOZ)’s efforts towards epidemic control by targeting testing to efficiently identify PLHIV, ensuring all newly diagnosed PLHIV are immediately linked to treatment, and all PLHIV on treatment have ready access to antiretroviral therapy (ART), are retained on treatment, and remain virally suppressed. The program is being implemented in 9 districts in Midlands (Gweru, Kwekwe, Mberengwa and Gokwe South) and in Manicaland (Makoni, Mutare. Chipinge, Mutasa and Buhera).


Basic Function

Working under the supervision of the Administrative Officer, the Administrative Intern’s primary role will be to support the Administration department with manning the reception and developing a filing system (for both electronic files and hard copy files).


Job Description

Work closely with the Provincial Administrative Assistant to ensure smooth operation of all administrative matters; Assist with minute taking during weekly meetings; Assist in sourcing of quotations; Assist in filing of supporting documents/invoices linked to administration; Assist in maintaining an updated and easily accessible hard copy and Electronic Admin Office Filing System; Assist with payment processing; Assist in receiving of purchased goods and distributing them to users; Any other administrative duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills and abilities

Knowledge of general office practices, procurement, maintenance and administrative procedures; Report to supervisor on variances and status on regular basis; Resourceful in gathering and providing information; Excellent written, oral, interpersonal and organization skills; Ability to work well with others and to develop and maintain compatibility among project staff, subcontractors, and recipients of assistance; Well-developed computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft office products.


Qualifications and experience

BAcc/BCom/BTech Degree in Business Administration or its recognized equivalent. At least a year of work-related learning experience
