International Nurses Day is celebrated around the world every May 12, the anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth

The theme for 2021 is Nurses: A Voice to Lead – A vision for future healthcare. #IND2021 will focus on the changes to and innovations in nursing and how this will ultimately shape the future of healthcare.

Nurses have always played a crucial role in the wellbeing for people across the globe. Like doctors and other health care workers, nurses are at the forefront of fighting the Covid-19 pandemic. This day is dedicated to honor them with the respect they deserve.

We celebrate and appreciate nurses being the backbone of our implementation in their diversified roles. As an organization, nurses make up almost a third of our staff complement making them integral in our vision.

Zimbabwe Health Interventions wishes all  nurses a Happy International Nurses Day!

In the strong words of Maya Angelou:

“As nurses, we have the opportunity to heal the heart, mind, soul, and body of our patients, their families, and ourselves. They may forget your name, but they will never forget how you made them feel.”
